Tina’s Pistachio Layered Dessert

Tina’s Pistachio Layered Dessert

History: This is my brother’s girlfriend’s family dessert. She brought it to our Thanksgiving Reunion 2006 and everyone raved on this delicious dessert. She made it with pumpkin for Thanksgiving, but she says the pistachio rendition is the original.




Layer One• 1 cup flour
• 2 tbs powder sugar
• ½ cup chopped nuts
• ½ cup butter or margarine

Bake at 350 for 12-14 mins or until crust is golden brown.

Layer Two
• 12 oz cream cheese (can use low fat)
• 1 cup powder sugar
• 8 oz non dairy cream (can use fat free or low fat)
• Mix until blended and add on top of cooled layer one.

Layer Three• 2 boxes 3.4 ozs pistachio pudding
• 3 cups milk (can use low fat)

Mix well spread on layer two.

Layer FourWhipped Cream sprinkled with nuts.

Layer one and two as above

Layer Three
• 3.4 oz of vanilla pudding
• 3 cups of milk
• 15 oz canned pumpkin
• ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Layer Four
Same as above except sprinkle pumpkin pie spice on top.
