Granny's Batter Rolls
History: Granny was my children's great grandmother, and she was the world's best cook. These rolls melt in your mouth. They take a bit of time, but the taste is well worth it.

- 3/4 cups milk, scalded and cooled
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 stick melted margarine or butter
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 packages of dry yeast
- 1 egg beaten
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- Dissolve yeast in warm water.
- In this order add and mix, sugar, salad oil, and well beaten eggs.
- Add one cup of flour and beat well.
- Add margarine, and then the remaining flour.
- Beat well and roll out dough and cut into circles with a cup or glass.
- Place in well oiled pans and cover and let rise until doubled.
- Bake at 400 degrees until brown on top.
