Apricot Balls

Apricot Balls
History:
This recipe is made every Christmas by your Grandmother Clara. They're also made for family weddings or funerals.

Ingredients:
  • 1 pound finely chopped or ground dried apricots
  • 2 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped nuts (I like pecans)
  • Confectioners sugar to coat balls

Directions:
  1. Mix apricots and coconut.
  2. Add sweetened condensed milk and blend well.
  3. Shape into balls and roll in powder sugar.
  4. Let stand until firm in refrigerator.
Key to this recipe is to make sure the mixture is chilled before you try shape.
