Lentil Soup

Lentil Soup
 
History: My sweet husband had asked several times for lentils. I had not made them in years, but I decided to surprise him with this rendition.


Ingredients:
  • 1 pound washed lentils
  • 1 15 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1 raw diced onion
  • 1 cup raw diced carrots
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 3 cloves garlic diced
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
Directions:
In a crockpot place all the ingredients. Add water almost to top of crockpot. Beans will double so make sure to put enough water. Turn crockpot on low for 7 hours. You will arrive home to a wonderful smell and a delicious meal.
