Oven French Fries

Oven French Fries

History: This was a recipe that I perfected so that I could have my beloved french fries without all the fat. These are delicious and easy.

Ingredients:
  • 2 medium potatoes, unpeeled
  • 1 tablespoon salad oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons flour
Directions:
  1. Scrub unpeeled potatoes well.
  2. cut potatoes in half lengthwise.
  3. Slice each half into lengthwise wedges so that each wedge has some peel.
  4. Soak the potatoes wedges in cold water with ice cubes in it for 20 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  6. Spray a shallow nonstick baking tray liberally with cooking spray.
  7. Remove potatoes from ice water after 20 minutes and drain the potatoes and pat dry.
  8. Place potatoes in plastic zip lock bag.
  9. Add the salad oil and flour and shake until all potatoes are coated.
  10. Place on baking sheet sprayed with non-stick coating.
  11. Bake uncovered in the preheated very hot oven about 20 minutes or until potatoes are golden and crisp.
  12. Turn the potatoes once while baking.
  13. Season to taste with salt and sprinkle with paprika.
Makes 4 servings 80 calories each.
Buon Appetito
